Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Part Time/Nights

JOB SUMMARY:  This position is accountable for providing competent nursing care for patients with common health problems. This is an entry level position responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children's policies.

EXPERIENCE:

• Six months to one year of experience is preferred, additional years highly desirable
• Experience in pediatrics, NICU and/or hospital inpatient setting a plus
• Bilingual skills desirable

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIFICATIONS:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program, Bachelor’s in Nursing strongly preferred
• Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
• If applying post-graduation but prior to license, will be considered for the Nurse Tech position and transferred to RN upon licensing.
• HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire or transfer into position

POSITION DETAILS: Part time, 4 x 11.5-hour shifts per 2-week pay period, Night Shift

PAY RANGE: $42.17 - $66.20

DISCLAIMER: Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience. Top of pay scale for RN I-RN II is $66.20 and top of scale for RN III-RNIV is $70.00
