Manager - Pediatric General Surgery

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for the overall supervision of direct and indirect care of patients and families. Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of customer service, based on the family-centered care model. Manages human resources including performance and staff development. Manages department performance evaluation activities and facilitates on-going improvements to performance and safety.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1 year leadership or managerial experience required
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience required
• Minimum 5 years increasingly responsible experience which demonstrates proficiency in the skills and knowledge required to perform the job preferred
• Experience in pediatrics, operating room and/or hospital inpatient setting a plus

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field required, Master’s degree preferred. Either Bachelor’s or Master’s must be in nursing.
• Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN) 
• HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position

POSITION DETATILS:  Full time exempt level position

PAY RANGE:  $64.00 - $97.70
