OR Tech I - General Surgery - Per Diem

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for the direct and indirect care of patient's/families as assigned under the direction and supervision of the physician and/or Registered Nurse. Adheres to safety standards identified within the institution to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery. Collects data pertinent to patient assessment in a systematic method emphasis on physiological, psychosocial, environmental, and cognitive patient status. The technician's practice is performed within the scope of training and in accordance with policies of Valley Children's Healthcare

QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

• Successful completion of an Operating Room Technician training program or 3 years experience as an OR Tech in lieu of a formal program
• Minimum six (6) months related experience preferred
• Medical Terminology preferred

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED
• BLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
