Network Engineer I - IT Support & Tech Services
SUMMARY: As a Network Engineer I, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, administration, troubleshooting and analysis of the Valley Children's Healthcare System data and voice communications network; Serve as departmental resource on network protocols and services including but not limited to TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, DHCP and SMTP. This position is responsible for administering file services, network services, telecommunications, print services, backup systems, storage systems, recovery systems, data protection systems and other management systems; Serve as a technical resource for the evaluation of emerging network technologies and will contribute to the development of Networking Services management reporting systems. Under direct supervision, plans, analyzes, designs, implements, tests, and maintains systems and equipment. Assists in the implementation, analysis and testing, maintenance and upgrades, application design, and debugging of equipment, systems, and related projects. Has a basic understanding of the technical components of supported equipment to maintain system integrity. Acts as a resource for device support. Provides support and/or technical coordination of project processes and documentation. Participates in all phases of major projects; planning, preparing, maintaining, and tracking project plans. Provides regular and accurate progress updates and status reports.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or four years equivalent work experience. CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate preferred within four months of hire or transfer into position. Minimum of two years related work experience required.
POSITION DETAILS: Full time, 80 hours per pay period. Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
PAY RANGE: $36.20-$57.40
