Child Life Specialist I - Per Diem

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans to provide for the psychosocial, behavioral, recreational, and educational needs of hospitalized and/or outpatient children. The incumbent is accountable for a defined patient population based upon the child's age and developmental needs for a designated period of time.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a College Degree - 4year in Child Life or related field of study. Masters Degree preferred.  CCLS - Certified Child Life Specialist certification required within 12 months of hire or transfer into position, or CTRS - Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist - certification in an adjunct therapy (i.e, Recreation, Art, Music) required within 12 months of hire or transfer into position.  Bilingual skills preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Per Diem, Schedule varies
