Reporting to the Director, IT Business Systems, this position is responsible for providing a division-wide approach to review, approve, prioritize, and successfully execute a portfolio of IT projects that are aligned with Valley Children's Healthcare's strategic goals and business strategies. Provides project portfolio oversight to ensure IT projects are implemented successfully, on time, within scope and budget, meeting organizational, project sponsor, and project owner quality expectations, and is responsible for providing project management services on selected IT projects.

This position is key in IT resource management, project success and ensuring that the Information Technology Services division can meet the expectations of organizational leadership. The IT Project Manager will work closely with the Organizational Project Management Office (OPMO) to ensure initiatives are achieving organizational objectives. Responsible for budgeting, resource management and setting expectations for timelines and outcomes. This position will work with leadership at all levels and act as a liaison between the Information Technology Services division and operational partners.

The IT Business Systems team oversees the systems development life cycle (SDLC), encompassing stages such as planning, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance. To achieve these goals, our team structure is divided into distinct, specialized units. The Project Management team manages the workflow of new project requests. They handle the intake, approval, and oversight of projects within our management system and project portfolio, ensuring smooth progression from inception to completion. Our Business Applications team plays a crucial role in elevating our organizational capabilities. They provide support, enhancement, and implementation of new systems, constantly working to advance our technological framework. The Integration team enables data sharing both within and outside the organization. This ensures the efficient and secure integration of disparate data sources, facilitating improved communication and collaboration across different platforms. Lastly, the Business Intelligence team is committed to fostering data excellence. They are responsible for developing and applying methodologies that improve data reliability and quality across our organization.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum three (3) years in progressively responsible experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • College degree – 4 year in related field OR 4 years of equivalent experience
  • If equivalent experience, high school diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required
  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) OR Project required within four (4) months of hire or transfer into position
