This position is accountable for providing safe and effective pharmaceutical care to neonates through young adulthood at Valley Children's Healthcare. Serves as pharmacology consultant, a patient advocate, and a fiscal conscience to the healthcare team while providing pharmacy services to meet the needs of patients/care providers, physicians, nurses and other healthcare team members. Processes safe and effective drug therapy beginning with the review of physician's orders through the administration and outcome of drug therapy and includes providing clinical pharmaceutical services. The emphasis of this position is advanced pharmacy practice in a pediatric inpatient setting primarily serving hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) including CAR-T and Bone Marrow Transplant. The pharmacist will support FACT accreditation including meeting the core competencies and required continuing education.The pharmacist will support staff development and training including working with pharmacy students, PGY-1 and PGY-2 residents.
