Performs a variety of standard and specialty diagnostic radiographic procedures with accuracy; responsibly administering ionizing radiation using fluoroscopy, computed and direct radiography (including the use of mobile c-arm and x-ray equipment) to achieve good quality studies under a variety of conditions with little supervision. Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and radiation physics and image production. Demonstrates appropriate use of ALARA - minimal technique parameters, collimation and correctly positions patients. Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care.

Our network offers highly specialized medical and surgical services to care for children with conditions ranging from common to the highly complex at our 358-bed stand-alone children’s hospital that includes 28 regional NICU beds. Our family-centered, pediatric services extend from a leading pediatric cancer and blood disorders center home on the West Coast, and a pediatric heart center known for its expertise and pioneering treatments, to a Regional Level IV neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), the highest level referral center between Los Angeles and the Bay Area. EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of six (6) months of experience in Diagnostic Radiology preferred
  • Pediatric experience and bilingual skills preferred  

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED AND a graduate of a formal program in Radiologic Technology OR a College Degree - 2 year in Radiology required
  • College Degree - 4 year preferred
  • BLS - Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position 
  • CRT - CA Radiologic Technologist License
  • RT-R - ARRT Reg Tech Radiography preferred  
  • RHF - Rad Tech/Fluoroscopy License required within six (6) months of hire or transfer into position
